JD - The role will be accountable for the following Producing integration design artefacts how to connect multiple tools using CICD pipelines DevOps Engineering building CICD pipelines to automate integration with Cyber tools Testing POCs Testing optimisation automation patterns Producing artefacts for submission into governance forums to secure approval of patterns What you will bring to the role Experience in DevOps Engineering building CICD pipelines in Jenkins Experience in producing integration design artefacts Experience with integration with APIs of operations or Cyber tooling eg code scanningHashicorp Vault Venafi Experience in developing Infrastructure as Code Sysadmin experience of Cyber or DevOps tooling Experience in Cloud Engineering Development experience in one or more of Java Python etc Good knowledge of general infrastructure networking operating systems etc Good understanding of DevSecOps and how it maps into the Software Development Lifecycle Passion for driving improvements in developer experience integration and automation of security tooling Ability to speak read and write in English

• Design, build, and improve software systems that support the goals of the Engineer DevOps function.
• Translate product or business requirements into clean, maintainable technical solutions.
• Write high-quality code with appropriate testing, code review, and documentation discipline.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and peer engineers to deliver reliable releases.
• Investigate bugs, performance issues, and production risks with a strong root-cause mindset.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and maintainability through thoughtful engineering decisions.
• Contribute to architecture and implementation discussions with pragmatic technical trade-offs.
• Break down complex work into clear milestones and communicate status transparently.
• Refactor and simplify existing code where it improves long-term velocity and quality.
• Support release readiness by validating edge cases, dependencies, and rollback considerations.
• Share knowledge through pairing, mentoring, documentation, and constructive code reviews.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong coding fundamentals with attention to reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience working with code reviews, testing practices, and collaborative delivery workflows.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear technical solutions.
• Comfort partnering with cross-functional teams in iterative product or platform environments.
• Strong debugging, communication, and ownership skills across the software lifecycle.
