Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mortgage underwriters evaluating US residential loan files.
• Ensure loan assessments strictly adhere to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and investor guidelines.
• Conduct quality audits and second-level reviews on complex loan submissions.
• Monitor key operational metrics including SLA turnaround times, quality scores, and productivity.
• Provide regular coaching, feedback, and technical training to underwriters.
• Resolve complex underwriting escalations related to credit, income, and title issues.
• Identify process bottlenecks and implement standard operating procedures to improve throughput.
• Collaborate with US onshore stakeholders to align on credit policy updates and guidelines.
• Ensure stringent compliance with federal regulations including TRID, RESPA, and Fair Lending.
• Prepare regular reporting dashboards on team throughput, defect rates, and operational performance.
