Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Architect and implement robust RESTful and WebSocket-based APIs for high-throughput real-time systems.
• Define backend architecture, microservice boundaries, database schemas, and API contracts.
• Develop event-driven workflows and message queues for real-time data processing and transaction management.
• Optimize system performance, data retrieval, and caching strategies using Redis and PostgreSQL.
• Ensure high code quality, performance standards, and security best practices across all services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend components with front-end systems.
• Lead backend design discussions and conduct rigorous peer code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues in distributed, high-availability environments.
• Mentor junior and mid-level software engineers on architecture, coding standards, and best practices.
