Key Responsibilities
- Review and investigate customer disputes, payment anomalies, and chargeback claims.
- Gather transaction evidence, receipts, and communication logs to challenge invalid chargebacks.
- Interface with payment gateways, acquiring banks, and card networks during the representment process.
- Monitor incoming dispute queues to ensure strict adherence to turnaround times and network SLAs.
- Analyze transaction data to identify recurring fraud patterns, system glitches, or merchant issues.
- Maintain clear documentation and case notes for all disputed transactions and resolutions.
- Collaborate with the customer support team to resolve escalated merchant and buyer queries.
- Assist in preparing weekly and monthly dispute trend reports for operations leadership.
- Ensure compliance with card brand rules (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) and industry regulations.
- Coordinate with risk and engineering teams to suggest improvements for fraud prevention workflows.
- Reconcile disputed funds and track win/loss ratios across payment channels.
