Key Responsibilities
- Perform Know Your Customer (KYC) and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) verification on new and existing accounts.
- Review identity documents, business registrations, and ownership structures to verify legitimacy and compliance.
- Screen customer profiles against global sanctions, Politically Exposed Persons (PEP), and adverse media databases.
- Conduct enhanced due diligence (EDD) on high-risk accounts and escalate suspicious activity to compliance managers.
- Identify inconsistencies, red flags, or potential fraud in onboarding documentation.
- Liaise with customers and internal teams to gather missing information and resolve onboarding discrepancies.
- Ensure all compliance reviews adhere strictly to regulatory standards, policies, and internal guidelines.
- Maintain comprehensive audit trails and accurate records of all customer risk assessments.
- Monitor transaction alerts and flagged profiles for potential anti-money laundering (AML) violations.
- Assist with regular internal quality checks, regulatory reporting, and risk audit preparations.
- Recommend continuous improvements to verification workflows and customer onboarding efficiency.
