Mechinex is seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our engineering and production operations in Coimbatore.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in mechanical design, component drafting, and modeling using CAD software.
• Support engineering teams during product development, prototyping, and assembly stages.
• Participate in fabrication, machining, and quality inspection workflows on the shop floor.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and bill of materials (BOM).
• Help troubleshoot mechanical component failures and assist in preventive maintenance tasks.
• Conduct basic stress, tolerance, and structural feasibility evaluations for ongoing designs.
• Document engineering test results, production metrics, and process improvement logs.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for raw material checks and component specifications.
• Ensure compliance with standard manufacturing and workshop safety protocols.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
