Sr Power BI Engineer · Gurugram

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end development of Power BI dashboards and reports, from data ingestion to visualization.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

• Design and implement data models using DAX and Power Query (M language).

• Optimize performance of Power BI reports and datasets.

• Integrate Power BI with various data sources including SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, APIs, and cloud platforms.

• Implement row-level security and governance policies.

• Mentor junior BI developers and contribute to best practices and standards.

• Work closely with data engineering teams to ensure data quality and consistency.

• Automate report generation and deployment using DevOps pipelines and version control tools.

• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and industry trends.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

• 7–10 years of experience in BI development, with at least 5 years in Power BI.

• Strong proficiency in DAX, Power Query, Fabric, and data modeling.

• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

• Experience with Azure services (e.g., Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, SQL DB).

• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD pipelines).

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Microsoft Power BI certification.

• Experience with Python or R for advanced analytics.

• Exposure to AI/ML model integration in dashboards.

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies.
