Cognizant is looking for a Geospatial Senior Analyst to deliver specialized mapping, GIS spatial analysis, and navigation data solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, validate, and process complex geospatial and navigation datasets to maintain high-quality spatial products.
• Perform spatial data editing, digitizing, attribution, and map feature extraction using GIS software like ArcGIS and QGIS.
• Execute quality control checks and validation scripts to identify and resolve topological and spatial discrepancies.
• Interpret high-resolution satellite imagery, aerial photography, and street-level imagery for mapping updates.
• Collaborate with global clients and project stakeholders to understand geospatial specifications and project deliverables.
• Develop and maintain workflow documentation, quality metrics, and best practice guidelines for map production.
• Utilize Python and SQL to automate routine spatial processing tasks and streamline analytical workflows.
• Conduct root cause analysis on spatial data errors reported by automated pipelines or end users.
• Support the integration of geospatial datasets into client mapping platforms and navigation engines.
• Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and domain training to junior GIS analysts on the team.
• Participate in agile sprint planning and ensure adherence to agreed delivery timelines and precision benchmarks.
