Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performing enterprise applications using COBOL and DB2 on IBM Mainframe platforms.
• Write, test, and optimize complex SQL queries and DB2 stored procedures for high-volume transaction processing.
• Create and schedule batch jobs using JCL and workload automation tools.
• Analyze existing mainframe programs to identify performance bottlenecks and execute code refactoring.
• Perform comprehensive unit testing, system integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Debug critical production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and apply timely emergency fixes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical leads and system architects to translate business requirements into technical designs.
• Maintain code quality and version control standards using tools like Endevor or Changeman.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, functional workflows, and data flow diagrams.
• Support data migration, data backup, and database recovery procedures in Mainframe environments.
