Applicantz is seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to lead architectural design and backend services powered by Node.js, TypeScript, and AWS.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and lead the delivery of highly scalable microservices on AWS.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding guidelines, and technical standards across squads.
• Mentor senior and mid-level software engineers through design reviews and pair programming.
• Design resilient RESTful APIs and event-driven data streaming pipelines.
• Optimize high-throughput, low-latency applications built on Node.js and TypeScript.
• Evaluate and implement cloud infrastructure solutions leveraging AWS serverless and container technologies.
• Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to shape technical roadmaps.
• Drive automated testing, performance benchmarking, and continuous deployment workflows.
• Diagnose complex production incidents and implement robust system reliability fixes.
• Oversee database schema design, indexing, and query optimization for SQL and NoSQL engines.
• Champion security compliance, data privacy, and disaster recovery strategies.
