Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior nursing staff and physicians in delivering day-to-day patient care across clinical wards.
• Monitor and accurately record patient vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Administer prescribed medications and oral fluids under the direct supervision of registered nursing staff.
• Assist in preparing patients for physical examinations, diagnostic tests, and clinical procedures.
• Maintain hygienic standards and uphold infection prevention and control protocols across the unit.
• Document patient observations, care activities, and fluid intake/output charts accurately in hospital records.
• Support patient hygiene, mobilization, feeding, and overall comfort during hospitalization.
• Respond promptly to patient call bells and report any changes in clinical condition to the senior nurse.
• Assist in the collection and safe dispatch of routine clinical specimens for laboratory evaluation.
• Participate in unit handover meetings, ensuring continuity and accuracy of patient information.
• Ensure that emergency trays, medical kits, and departmental supplies are routinely stocked and checked.
