Agoda is a global digital travel platform powered by large-scale engineering systems. We are seeking an experienced Backend Lead Software Engineer to design, architect, and scale our core backend infrastructure in Gurugram.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design and development of highly scalable backend microservices.
• Drive technical roadmaps and engineering standards across engineering teams.
• Mentor and guide software engineers in code quality, system design, and best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers and architects to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Ensure high system availability, low latency, and fault tolerance across production services.
• Conduct code reviews, design reviews, and establish continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
• Optimize database performance, message queues, and distributed caches for large transaction volumes.
• Tackle complex technical challenges in data processing, storage, and asynchronous workflows.
• Oversee incident management, root-cause analyses, and proactive technical debt remediation.
• Evaluate emerging backend technologies and frameworks to modernize system capabilities.
