The Financial Analyst in Portfolio Valuation & Advisory Services supports valuation teams, conducts in-depth financial analysis, and builds valuation models for asset managers, hedge funds, and private equity funds.

Key Responsibilities

• Support portfolio valuation teams in valuing illiquid debt and equity securities held by hedge funds, private equity funds, and business development companies.
• Assist in fair value reporting of fund assets to investors in compliance with relevant accounting guidelines.
• Perform comprehensive financial statement analysis, ratio analysis, and quantitative assessments of target entities.
• Review confidential investment memoranda, board presentations, debt agreements, and equity term sheets.
• Analyze complex financial models to gain a thorough understanding of target companies and securities being evaluated.
• Compile statistical summaries of company financial performance and compute critical valuation metrics.
• Review and extract data from public financial filings, press releases, company reports, and equity research.
• Conduct industry benchmark research, comparable company analysis, and precedent transaction analysis.
• Assist in building discounted cash flow (DCF), market multiple, and option pricing models for illiquid assets.
• Prepare clear, well-structured valuation presentations, summary reports, and client deliverables.
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of all analytical data, formulas, and underlying assumptions.
• Maintain organized workpapers, data archives, and audit-ready documentation for all valuation engagements.
