Software Engineer / Developer (Frontend AFC / Web Development MS Windows is a delivery-focused opportunity based in Bengaluru, India.

Job Summary Using C/C++, .NET Framework, .NET Core, and Database technologies, and working with software engineers and architects, you will be responsible for the development of one or more software systems and components that are part of an integrated Automated Fare Collection (AFC) system. You will participate in the software development lifecycle from definition of requirements to design and development, testing, implementation, support, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• You will participate in the software development lifecycle from definition of requirements to design and development, testing, implementation, support, and maintenance
• Key responsibilities include: Requirements gathering.Design, implementation, and testing of the software.Preparation and submission of deliverables throughout the software development lifecycle, such as Business Rules, Software Requirement Specifications, Software Architecture Document, Design Specification, Interface Specifications, Source Codes, Testing Specification, Operation and Maintenance Manual, Training Manual, and other documents as required by the standard adopted by the Authority.Assist the Authority with day-to-day application support issues.Liaise with users on requirement, design, and testing issues.Technical Skills and Experience Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering / Computer Science or a relevant discipline.Experience in C/C++, .NET Framework, ASP.NET, and .NET Core on Windows.Experience in Angular, TypeScript, Web Servers, and Web Applications.Experience in relational databases such as MS SQL.Experience in C# will be an advantage.Been through at least one full Software Development Lifecycle.Experience in writing Requirements Specifications, Use Cases, Design Documentation, object-oriented software design, and UML modelling.At least 3 years' experience in object-oriented software and multi-threading development.Prior experience in Scrum Agile methodology is a plus.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Good written and verbal communication skills.Self-motivated, independent, and a good team player.Demonstrated willingness to undertake multiple assignments across differ

• Translate product or business requirements into clean, maintainable technical solutions.
• Write high-quality code with appropriate testing, code review, and documentation discipline.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and peer engineers to deliver reliable releases.
• Investigate bugs, performance issues, and production risks with a strong root-cause mindset.
• Improve system reliability, observability, and maintainability through thoughtful engineering decisions.
• Contribute to architecture and implementation discussions with pragmatic technical trade-offs.
• Break down complex work into clear milestones and communicate status transparently.
• Refactor and simplify existing code where it improves long-term velocity and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong coding fundamentals with attention to reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Experience working with code reviews, testing practices, and collaborative delivery workflows.
• Ability to break down ambiguous problems into clear technical solutions.
• Comfort partnering with cross-functional teams in iterative product or platform environments.
• Strong debugging, communication, and ownership skills across the software lifecycle.
