Mechanical Design Engineer · Bengaluru

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Evaluate customer inputs / specifications and design equipment to match specifications including concept creation, detailed design, design calculations, manufacturing drawings, bill of materials (BOM) and product related technical documents

• Refine and improve product designs by evaluating current designs, Technical lags and develop new solutions by collaborating with internal stake holders and customers

• Collaborate with Project Manager to determine project requirements, initiate design approach & arrive at the timeline for execution of the activities considering manpower requirements

• Co-ordination & Selection of the product as per designed concept

• Arriving at variance in cost estimation as per budget and actual based on technical concepts

• Co-ordinate and review design, engineering calculations for the selection of machine elements, technical documentation for functionality, quality, safety & project status schedules as per timeline

• Ability to design the machines independently & developing design concepts and engineering solutions using a 3D software tool Solidworks & AutoCad

• Should have an experience in handling a team of 6-8 members, customer queries and suggesting technical solutions individually

Knowledge :

• Knowledge of assembly line, conveyors, gear box, PCB based components, electric vehicle- battery pack assembly, electric vehicle assembly, pneumatic, hydraulic, hydro-pneumatic machines & servo presses

• Knowhow of cost effective automation solutions

• Quality/Problem solving tools like Ishikawa diagrams, FMEA

• Strong leadership, analytical, presentation & verbal / written communication skills
