Key Responsibilities

• Analyze commercial real estate (CRE) property financial statements, rent rolls, and operating statements.
• Review and interpret personal and business US tax returns to evaluate borrower financial health.
• Pull, examine, and interpret consumer and commercial credit reports to assess creditworthiness.
• Support senior underwriters in preparing comprehensive credit approval memoranda.
• Identify potential underwriting risks, exceptions, and discrepancies according to lending policy.
• Calculate debt service coverage ratios (DSCR), loan-to-value (LTV), and debt yield metrics.
• Verify borrower documentation and loan covenants against regulatory and institutional requirements.
• Collaborate with US-based credit officers, relationship managers, and loan servicing teams.
• Monitor post-closing conditions and assist in ongoing loan servicing reviews.
• Maintain thorough documentation and audit trails within commercial credit processing systems.
• Escalate flagged credit, legal, or title exceptions to appropriate underwriting authorities.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives to streamline credit assessment turnaround times.
