Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) is hiring a Fire Officer on a fixed-term contract to oversee fire safety and emergency management operations across refinery facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise round-the-clock fire fighting and emergency response preparedness.
• Inspect and maintain fire protection equipment, detection systems, and hydrants.
• Conduct regular fire safety drills, mock scenarios, and site inspections.
• Respond promptly to industrial safety emergencies, fires, and hazardous chemical leaks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory occupational health, safety, and refinery standards.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment, and safety incident reporting.
• Train refinery staff and contractor personnel in basic firefighting and evacuation.
• Collaborate with operations teams to manage hot work and hazardous area permits.
• Maintain records of safety drills, equipment testing, and statutory compliance.
• Assist during internal and external health, safety, and environment (HSE) audits.
