Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain reliable, scalable research computing infrastructure.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment pipelines.
• Implement and enforce robust security protocols, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Optimize compute, storage, and networking resources for high-performance computing and research workloads.
• Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to understand technical requirements and remove operational bottlenecks.
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to ensure high availability and performance.
• Manage cloud resources and optimize operational costs across hybrid cloud and on-premise environments.
• Streamline developer productivity by introducing self-service tooling, CI/CD automation, and modern DevOps practices.
• Evaluate and integrate cutting-edge open-source tools and infrastructure technologies.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex hardware, software, and networking issues across research clusters.
• Establish disaster recovery, backup strategies, and comprehensive infrastructure documentation.
