Metropolis Healthcare is looking for a Pathologist to supervise clinical diagnostic testing and maintain exceptional diagnostic quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform microscopic examinations of blood films, bone marrow, and cytology specimens.
• Review, interpret, and approve clinical pathology and biochemistry laboratory reports.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance standards, including IQC and EQAS benchmarks.
• Coordinate with technical personnel to ensure optimal specimen handling and testing procedures.
• Promptly report critical and panic laboratory values to treating medical practitioners.
• Manage laboratory accreditation requirements under NABL and other regulatory frameworks.
• Investigate analytical errors, resolve sample anomalies, and implement corrective steps.
• Evaluate new testing methods, equipment validation, and reagent performance.
• Maintain laboratory safety protocols and supervise the handling of biohazardous materials.
• Contribute to medical peer reviews, training of junior staff, and clinical audit sessions.
