• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits coverage, prior authorizations, and claims statuses.
• Follow strict HIPAA compliance guidelines and healthcare confidentiality protocols during all customer interactions.
• Analyze denied or unpaid medical claims and coordinate with payers for proper adjudication and resolution.
• Accurately document call notes, patient details, and transaction outcomes into healthcare management systems.
• Escalate complex billing discrepancies or coverage disputes to senior operations teams in a timely manner.
• Achieve daily operational targets including Average Handling Time (AHT), quality scores, and customer satisfaction metrics.
• Demonstrate active listening and professional verbal communication to resolve queries efficiently.
• Clarify copay, deductible, and out-of-pocket obligations for patient accounts clearly and courteously.
• Maintain updated knowledge of changing US healthcare policies, billing guidelines, and payer regulations.
• Coordinate with quality analysts to review call recordings and implement feedback for continuous improvement.
