Cummins is looking for a Software Engineer 2 to build reliable software solutions, implement CI/CD automation, and adhere to best engineering practices within an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code aligned with coding standards and peer review practices.
• Develop stable applications supporting high uptime and integrate monitoring into sprint deliverables.
• Participate actively in SAFe Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, daily standups, and Iteration Reviews.
• Log, track, and resolve software defects efficiently using tools such as Jira and Azure DevOps.
• Automate CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth deployments and minimize rollback risks.
• Support release-on-demand initiatives by validating features during iterations and system demos.
• Take software systems from scoping requirements through to production launch.
• Follow professional SDLC best practices including source control management, build processes, and testing.
• Communicate effectively with users, technical teams, and leadership to collect requirements.
• Identify tasks, provide accurate engineering estimates, and meet production delivery deadlines.
