Functional Analyst (ISG) · Bengaluru

Cognizant is looking for an experienced Functional Analyst (ISG) to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams by delivering comprehensive functional solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather, analyze, and translate complex business requirements into detailed functional specifications and user stories.
• Collaborate closely with technical architects, Java developers, and quality assurance teams across the SDLC.
• Map current and future-state business processes to identify operational bottlenecks and functional enhancements.
• Define functional acceptance criteria and support development teams during sprint planning and backlog grooming.
• Design functional test cases and coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with business stakeholders.
• Validate that developed software modules align with documented business logic and performance criteria.
• Serve as the functional subject matter expert during system integration and data migration phases.
• Prepare system flow diagrams, data mapping documents, and interface specifications.
• Facilitate workshops with global cross-functional teams to resolve requirement ambiguities.
• Conduct impact assessments for proposed change requests and recommend effective workarounds.
• Create end-user training materials and provide post-implementation functional support.
• Monitor defect trends during testing cycles to ensure high functional quality before production releases.
