  • Analyze spending patterns and identify opportunities for cost reduction and value creation.

  • Drive and conduct cost negotiations, including spot negotiations for day-to-day purchases of products/services across various categories (e.g., infrastructure, facilities, IT, HR).

  • Drive and track commercial value through savings (cost reduction, cost avoidance, and working capital) and added value generation.

  • Support new vendor identification, development, and inventory management as needed.

  • Compliance & Risk Management

  • Conduct thorough supplier audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance and mitigate potential disruptions.

  • Maintain meticulous documentation for traceability and audit purposes.

  • Work closely with departments such as Finance, Legal, IT, HR, and Facilities to ensure a smooth vendor empanelment process.

  • Identify process gaps and collaborate with the Procurement Department Head to update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and policy documentation regularly.

  • Represent the Procurement department for internal and external audits, furnishing necessary information and documentation.

  • Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor a team of buyers and procurement analysts, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Provide direction and support to team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with extensive experience in handling procurement responsibility.

  • Experience: At least 15 years of progressive experience in procurement or supply chain roles, with a minimum of 5 years in managerial or leadership capacity.

  • Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of global sourcing, contract law, and regulatory compliance. Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and procurement analytics tools.

  • Negotiation & Communication: Exceptional ability to negotiate complex contracts and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders at all levels.

  • Analytical Thinking: Proven expertise in data analysis to support strategic procurement decisions and identify opportunities.

  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple procurement projects simultaneously from conception to completion.

  • Leadership: Capable of leading and motivating cross-functional teams and mentoring junior procurement staff.

  • Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-cultural, and evolving business environment.
