About the Role :

We are looking to hire a Software Engineer who understands the software development lifecycle very well and comes with a hands on experience in Python and SQL. The individual would be responsible for design, development, and maintainence of software components in line with functional and technical requirements. Additionally, you would be working on creating and executing test plans, test cases, and regression scenarios to validate software quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain software components in line with functional and technical requirements

  • Create and execute test plans, test cases, and regression scenarios to validate software quality

  • Identify, document, and track defects, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution

  • Participate in unit testing, integration testing, system testing, and user acceptance support

  • Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define quality criteria

  • Support automation efforts by contributing to test scripts and reusable validation frameworks where applicable

  • Monitor application behaviour, analyse root causes of issues, and recommend improvements to quality and reliability

  • Use tools such as Git and defect tracking platforms to support collaborative delivery and testing processes

  • Contribute to quality assurance standards, test documentation, and continuous improvement of development and testing practices

Required Skills

Core Technical Skills

  • Programming fundamentals in languages such as Python, SQL or similar technologies is a must have. This includes basic knowledge of databases and SQL for validation and troubleshootin

  • Knowledge of React/Java is a good to have.

  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC)

  • Knowledge of manual testing, defect tracking, and test case design

  • Familiarity with test automation concepts and tools such as Selenium or similar frameworks

  • Experience with version control systems and collaborative development workflows

  • Awareness of API testing, integration testing concepts, and quality assurance best practices

Education & Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or related field.

Problem-Solving

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyse defects, identify root causes, validate fixes, and improve overall software quality
