Arm is seeking a Principal Software Engineer in Bengaluru to drive technical direction and deliver complex system software for next-generation cloud and data center platforms.

Responsibilities

• Provide overarching technical leadership across engineering teams building cloud and data center software.
• Lead through engineering team leads to develop organizational capabilities and ensure high delivery standards.
• Architect and direct system software, firmware, and SoC infrastructure solutions.
• Collaborate with silicon designers, hardware architects, and open-source ecosystems to optimize platform integration.
• Define architectural guidelines, coding standards, and rigorous engineering best practices.
• Guide teams in debugging and solving complex low-level software performance bottlenecks.
• Drive continuous improvements in CI/CD, automation, and verification across software stacks.
• Mentor senior and staff engineers to cultivate technical excellence and leadership talent.
• Align engineering roadmaps with business priorities and strategic partner requirements.
• Represent Arm's system software initiatives in industry working groups and technical forums.
