72east is hiring an Investment Banking Associate to join its advisory team in Mumbai, assisting in transaction execution, pitch preparation, and in-depth financial analysis across capital advisory mandates.

Responsibilities

• Build dynamic three-statement financial models, cash flow forecasts, and operating budgets for prospective and active clients.
• Perform detailed business valuations using DCF, trading comparables, and precedent transaction multiples.
• Draft high-impact pitch books, confidential information memorandums (CIMs), teasers, and management presentation decks.
• Conduct exhaustive industry research, market benchmarking, and competitive analysis to support mandate positioning.
• Manage the due diligence process by organizing requests, reviewing documentation, and identifying key business risks.
• Set up and manage virtual data rooms (VDR) to ensure seamless information exchange with counterparties.
• Support deal structuring, financing evaluation, and comparative term sheet analyses for strategic and financial investors.
• Track relevant M&A transactions, capital markets developments, and macroeconomic indicators.
• Engage with senior bankers, legal teams, and client management to coordinate transaction timelines.
• Perform scenario analyses and sensitivity tables to test deal outcomes under varied market assumptions.
• Maintain internal deal tracking systems and generate pipeline status reports for executive leadership.
