Key Responsibilities

DC System Design &amp; Optimization

<ul>
<li>Lead complete DC design including module stringing, SCB configuration, DC cabling, and network architecture.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Optimize DC BoS for cost efficiency, high performance, and minimal technical losses.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Perform string sizing based on thermal conditions, inverter characteristics, site parameters, and module specifications.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Finalize array layouts, module mounting schemes, routing of trenches/cables, and DC interconnections.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Apply advanced optimization techniques to improve energy yield and reduce lifecycle costs.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Prepare cable routing layouts, trench details, and DC cable sizing calculations.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Strong understanding of DC block site sections, Google Earth analysis, SketchUp, PVcase, and PVSyst.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Exposure to EYA (Energy Yield Assessment) is an added advantage. </li>
</ul>

Technical Review &amp; Documentation

<ul>
<li>Review and approve detailed engineering documents such as SLDs, GAs, string layouts, cable schedules, and cross-sections. Prepare design calculation sheets, DC loss analysis reports, and BoS optimization documents.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Ensure adherence to IEC, IS, CEA, MNRE, and Avaada’s internal quality standards. </li>
</ul>

 Cross-Functional Coordination

<ul>
<li>Coordinate with civil, SCADA, AC engineering, and PM teams for integrated design solutions.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Support procurement through technical specifications and vendor evaluations for modules, SCBs, cables, connectors, etc. </li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Provide engineering support and timely clarifications to site teams during execution.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Visit project sites for issue resolution, constructability checks, and design validation.</li>
</ul>

Engineering Leadership &amp; Management

<ul>
<li>Lead, guide, and mentor a team of DC design engineers and draftsmen.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Establish workflows, templates, guidelines, and quality processes for DC engineering.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Manage design deliverables, review cycles, and inter-department interfaces.</li>
</ul>

Compliance, Standards &amp; Innovation

<ul>
<li>Ensure design compliance with safety norms, quality standards, and statutory regulations.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Stay updated on evolving national and international standards (CEA, MNRE, IEC, NEC).</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Drive innovation through new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance plant performance and reduce costs. </li>
</ul>

Qualifications &amp; Experience

<ul>
<li>Education: B.E./B. Tech or M.E./M. Tech in Electrical Engineering.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Experience: Minimum 10-25 years in solar PV DC engineering with exposure to both fixed-tilt and tracker systems.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Technical Skills: Expertise in all major solar module technologies (mono-PERC, bifacial, TOPCon, HJT, thin-film, etc.).</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Proficiency in AutoCAD, Helioscope, PVsyst, PVcase, ETAP/Power Factory, and engineering calculators.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Leadership: At least 5 years in a managerial or lead engineering role.</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Project Background: Experience in designing large utility-scale solar projects (&gt;500 MWp).</li>
</ul>

<ul>
<li>Willingness to travel for site visits and technical issue resolution</li>
