SAP Consultant
Major Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day SAP MM functional and business support to ensure stable and efficient system operations.
- Lead the Implementation and rollout of SAP MM solutions, including design, configuration, and customization.
- Manage and control change requests, translating business needs into functional specifications for developers.
- Drive optimization and continuous improvement of existing SAP MM processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
- Support integration with other SAP modules (FI, PP, SD, WM, QM) and third-party applications.
- Oversee interface development and troubleshooting between SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Conduct end-to-end testing, cutover activities, and post-go-live stabilization during projects and rollouts.
- Collaborate and coordinate with external consultants, business stakeholders, and global support teams.
- Deliver user training sessions, prepare documentation, and ensure knowledge transfer.
- Analyze, design, and implement logistics and procurement process enhancements (PR, PO, RFQ, contracts, invoice verification, release strategy).
- Perform gap analysis and propose feasible solutions aligned with SAP best practices.
- Provide third Level Support for complex MM-related issues.
- Ensure audit compliance and system integrity by managing roles, authorizations, and data quality.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP MM Team, consolidation, and system harmonization activities across multiple company codes or regions.
- Configure Material Valuation, Split Valuation, and Material Ledger in S/4HANA environments.
- Support MRP configuration and integration with production and warehouse processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to design custom interfaces, enhancements, and Fiori applications.
- Define and manage testing strategy, UAT execution, and defect resolution.
- Mentor junior consultants and review functional documentation and test scripts for accuracy.
- Participate in global template design and rollout projects ensuring standardization and scalability.
Qualifications:
- 12+ years of proven experience in SAP MM (Materials Management), including end-to-end implementation, rollout, and support projects.
- Strong hands-on experience in S/4HANA MM, including Material Ledger, MRP, Procurement, and Inventory Management.
- Deep understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and integration with FI, PP, and SD modules.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale SAP projects, including planning, execution, and post-go-live support.
- Strong knowledge of functional design, configuration, testing, and documentation following SAP best practices.
- Experience in interface design, IDoc/ALE, EDI, and S-Proxy integrations.
- Exposure to medical devices, manufacturing, or automotive industry preferred.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
- Strong analytical mindset with ability to evaluate performance results and recommend strategic improvements.
- Hands-on experience with FIORI apps related to Procurement and Inventory
- Good understanding of IDocs, BAPIs, and integration points
- Preferred SAP S/4 HANA MM Certification.
