Instabites is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer specializing in refrigeration and lyophilization (freeze-drying) systems to oversee thermal operations and maintain high product quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, operate, and maintain industrial cooling, HVAC, and freeze-drying equipment.
• Manage critical processing components including vacuum pumps, compressors, and PLC modules.
• Control temperature and pressure parameters to optimize sublimation and moisture extraction.
• Monitor primary and secondary drying stages to ensure at least 97% moisture removal.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules for vacuum pumps, sensors, valves, and gaskets.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical faults, leaky valves, and compressor malfunctions promptly.
• Ensure full adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and sanitary design regulations.
• Coordinate proper disposal of hazardous materials such as spent oils and refrigerants.
• Maintain psychrometric controls and thermal fluid operational standards across lines.
• Document maintenance logs, system calibrations, and inspection reports regularly.
